When an XDepth HDR "jpeg" image is saved, it requires specific software support only if you want to retrieve HDR information.

If XDepth HDR is not specifically supported by your preferred software - 3DStudio Max in this case - you will only be able to load XDepth images as common jpegs (i.e. as 24bit/pixel RGB images).

Should you need XDepth HDR support for any software for your company, please send an email to our Business Department with no obligation.

Before downloading XDepth Software, you are presented with the End User License Agreement page. Although, if your session expires you will be taken back to the download page, even if you agreed with the EULA. The download sessions expire in minutes, so while you don't have to hurry up, you probably want to thoroughly read the EULA outside the download page.

Are you considering a "stand alone" or Photoshop Elements version for the "financially challenged" ?

There's new software we are presently working on. There will be other 2D applications supporting XDepth HDR in the next future, which are priced much differently compared to Adobe Photoshop.

There isn't a stand-alone application under development right now, but that might be a possibility for future directions.

Also, by participating to our forums you will be able to send us your "application support" requests and suggestions directly, and vote for your favourite software to get XDepth support.

Is your XDepth plug-in compatible with Photoshop Elements 2.0?

Although compatible with any application supporting the "8bi", the XDepth HDR plugin for Adobe Photoshop requires a 32bit/channel image buffer in order to save XDepth images.

Moreover, the XDepth HDR plugin for Adobe Photoshop cannot be used outside Photoshop itself.

Please read our XDepth Software EULA regarding usage limitations - this specific restricion is outlined in paragraph 3.9.
